Arun konda’s Biography
Arun Konda is a self-taught independent filmmaker and producer based in the United States. Born and raised in a small village in South India, Arun’s passion for storytelling began early — whether through books, short plays, or simply observing people and imagining their lives on screen. Moving to the U.S. marked a transformative shift, opening access to new ideas, creative communities, and opportunities that helped him turn his passion into a career.
Without formal film school training or experience as an assistant director, Arun learned the craft of filmmaking through relentless experimentation and hands-on practice, mastering writing, directing, producing, and even the business side of production. He began with small projects and gradually moved into full-length features.
Over the years, Arun has directed and produced films across genres — including supernatural thrillers, suspense, horror, and action — with titles such as Evil in Her, Convergence of Souls, and Loss of Grace. He also completed the documentary Maithreem Bhajatha – Cultivate Friendship, inspired by the iconic peace-calling song performed by M.S. Subbulakshmi at the United Nations, exploring compassion and understanding in an era of global conflict.
His latest feature film, Saanvi, is a crime thriller based on a true story, shot entirely in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with the support of local filmmakers. The project represents a milestone in his career and is currently under consideration for the Sundance Film Festival.
Alongside his creative work, Arun is the founder of Dynamic Features, a Dallas-Fort Worth-based agency producing films, TV shows, and commercials. He also launched DYNOXE, a streaming platform that makes his work accessible to audiences for free, reflecting his commitment to storytelling without barriers.
Arun’s journey from a small village in India to an independent filmmaker in the United States has been defined by resilience, curiosity, and a deeply human approach to storytelling. His work continues to explore emotional truth, cultural identity, and the power of collaboration to bring meaningful stories to life.
